Too Faced Amazing Face Foundation Review!

Hey guys, so I wanted to do a review of the Too Faced Amazing Face Oil-Free Close-Up Coverage Foundation. Phew, what a long name!

So this is the box that it comes inDSCN3393 DSCN3394 DSCN3395

This is the bottleDSCN3401

It’s a glass bottle and the packaging is so pretty! It does not have a pump or anything, so you have to pour the product out, which I’m okay with.

I’m not sure if you can see it, but these are the things that it claims to do:

  • Real Skin Technology adjusts to skin for flawless, undetectable coverage; even up close!
  • Bio Transformed Botanicals soften and relax the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.
  • Visibly reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines by diffusing and reflecting light.
  • Natural Bark Extract, Multi Mineral Complex, and Vitamins A,C &E balance skin for a healthy glow.

This is what it looks like on my skin right after I’m done with my makeupDSCN3410 (2)

My experience:

So I purchased this over the summer in the color Warm Cocoa and have worn it maybe only twice over the summer and hated it. Although it says that it’s oil free, I noticed that it made my already combination/oily skin so shiny and sticky. No matter how much I blotted and applied powder, the shine would not go away. So I just stopped using it because it was awful, and it tended to transfer really easily. Maybe this is the healthy glow that it was claiming to give, but it did not look healthy to me. It just looked like straight up oil all over my face.

My skin tends to get dry during the winter, so I decided to give it another go recently, and it’s a lot better than it was over the summer. As you can see, it gives my skin a kind of sheen or dewy finish upon application, which I don’t mind too much. I do prefer a matte finish, but as long as it’s not shiny like it was over the summer, than I’m okay with it. I just set it with some powder, which helps to mattify it and keeps it in place. After about an hour of application however, I do notice that it starts to look oily. So I recommend touching up with powder, or blotting…constantly, if you want to wear this.

My thoughts:

I would not recommend this product for anyone with oily skin. Even though it says it’s oil-free, it does not feel or look oily free. It’s super high maintenance because you have to keep touching it up and blotting your face to keep from looking like you just ran a marathon in super hot weather. So gross! If you tend to have dry skin however, this would probably work for you. I really want to love it, but I just don’t.

If you have this product, please let me know what your thoughts are on it, and how you manage to keep it shine free if that’s a problem for you.

Love always, Weezybaby!

  1. A foundation from my favourite brand…but 😦 it’s not going to work me!! So sad! I have combo/oily skin. I hope they make one for oily skin.
